My favourite Boot’s buys

Good evening people,

I for one am very happy that it’s almost the weekend. Even though these weeks working from home seem to go really quickly, I am looking forward to spending some time not attached to my laptop.

So, let’s get to the point, and the point today is Boot’s. Over the last couple of years they have established themselves in the beauty world as the UK’s answer to Sephora by bringing in Fenty, Nars and Wishful amongst other brands which aren’t out of place on beauty floors of Liberty and Selfridge’s.

Today I am going to be talking about some of my go to beauty buys from Boot’s which aren’t in the premium section but are always in my cosmetics drawers and are widely stocked nationwide. These products range across hair, body and face that I always restock when I run out.

Carmex

I don’t like to be without a pot of Carmex at all times, I keep one in my handbag, next to my bed and in my WFH space. I love the smell and that it keeps my lips nice and soft and although they’re small, they last for months.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Red Algae Glow Mask

I have talked about this mask before because it is an old favourite. This clay mask contains kaolin which absorbs impurities and ghassoul to clarify the complexion. It leaves my skin smooth, fresh and dewy and I love that you can give yourself a little scrub when you remove the mask revealing clear, bright skin. To note: it smells lovely, a little bit goes a long way and it is super affordable at £7.99.

Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion

This is a very good moisturiser! Although it tends to very dry skin, it is really lightweight and absorbs beautifully without a sticky, tacky feeling afterwards. I am left with silky smooth skin after every application which lasts the day. Skin Relief is formulated with a triple oat complex and shea butter and is perfect for this time of year when the weather starts to turn but due to it’s light texture I use it year round.

Tresemme Care & Protect Heat Defense Spray

I use a lot of heat on my hair including straighteners and curling tongs so I like to keep it protected and this is my favourite. I spray this onto damp hair and when I style it it is protected and looks so sleek and shiny. The spray bottle is so easy to use and doesn’t make my hair feel heavy/ full of product which I have found in so many other protection sprays. It also has a neutral scent so I can still smell my conditioner and lasts for ages.
