3 of the best…cleansers

In March 2019 there are probably more cleansers in the world than I have had hot dinners. Designed for different skin types, ages and concerns over a vast range of prices, brands and type of ingredient. All of them promising to cleanse away the grime with an advert worthy splash of the face.

Over the last 15 years I have tried out a lot of cleansers. Some I have liked, some I have loved and some that I have absolutely hated.

In this post I will share a few of my favourites. I use these cleansers with my Foreo but they work wonderfully with finger application as well. Take a read and let me know about your ride or die cleansers in the comments.

1.        Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser

This is a mild cleanser that works for all skin types, it is completely non-abrasive but manages to remove all dirt from the day and leave skin feeling clean and supple. It is scent free and non-drying and provides the perfect base for toner/ serum/ moisturiser. I have been using this cleanser on and off for years, it is one that I always come back to. I like to use this when I want to give my skin a break from topical products and it is great for travelling. The texture is non sticky and a little foaming which allows a little product to go a long way.

2.        Lixir Electrogel Cleanser

This is described as an evening cleanser and detoxifying mask and I can say from experience that it is definitely both of those things. I have been using this cleanser for about 3 months and I absolutely love it, I like to use it as a morning cleanser as well as the massage aspect really wakes up my face. This cream cleanser is scent free and leaves skin super clean, clear and fresh. After application you massage for a minute and leave to set for a further minute before washing it off, I find that this method really makes my skin look great and the product itself is really luxe. The packaging looks great on the shelf as well.

3.        Malin & Goetz Grapefruit Cleanser

This is probably favourite morning cleanser ever! I love this brand so much because all that they do, they do so well, this cleanser included. This grapefruit foaming cleanser is scented without being synthetic and it is so invigorating in the mornings, it awakens the senses as well as the skin, without drying you out, leaving you with a bright, clean face and ready for the day. The bottle looks great, like all M&G products and it lasts for ages.
