Afternoon people, today we are talking hair!
In 2018 I found a great shoulder length cut that suits my face and keeps my ginger locks looking healthy, even if it is heading to the brunette side at a rapid rate. Below you will find my favourites from last year.
& Other Stories is one of my favourite shops and this Summer they released a haircare line, just like their body products, it is great, especially their Restore Scalp Scrub in Malibu Canyon. It is a mixture of sugar and salt and really exfoliates the scalp and leaves your hair in great condition, it only takes five minutes and plainly spoken, it smells amazing. I’m in love. (It is currently sold out but you’ll find it here.)
Davines is ones of my favourite haircare brands and a few months ago I bought their Alchemic range for copper hair. This shampoo and conditioner promises to enhance coppers tones in natural or cosmetic hair, it has worked to an extent, my hair certainly looks redder and richer. That aside, it makes my hair so shiny and it feels so healthy when I use it. They both smell delicious a fresh which is an added bonus.
After years of curling my hair with straighteners, I decided to take the plunge and buy GHD’s Classic Curl Tong after a lot of inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest and, perhaps most importantly, Stacey Dooley’s Blackpool hair on Strictly. I decided the tong would suit me better than the wand and they allow me to create everyday waves as well as high volume curls, it took me a few practice go’s but I quickly got the knack of it and now it’s really fast and easy. They also make a fun noise when they’ve reached the correct temperature.
My hair is able to hold a curl fairly well but Sam McKnight’s Cool Girl hair texturising spray gives my hair more oomph. I only use a little of this spray with my head upside down and my tresses retain the waves and volume for an entire evening. I’m not one for using hair products usually so this barely there mist is perfect as I can brush hair afterwards and not feels like my hair is weighed down and crunchy.
Does anybody know any amazing products that we should be trying next? Let us know in the comments below.
