Four of the best face masks

More often than not if you ask me what my plans are for the evening, I’ll say I’m going to go home, relax and do a facemask.

I am a woman obsessed. I love them out of a jar, a sachet, on a sheet and will give anything a go.

If I’m in a city with a Sephora I will always load up and have been known to pick one up if I pop to Boots for cough sweets. You see where I’m going with this so let’s move on.

The masks that will follow do not include my favourite sheet masks, that’s for another time my friend, these masks are the jars that I adore and use on the regular, they range in price and purpose but I am sure you will find something for you here.

Up first, an old favourite, the L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask is a mask that I always have on my beauty shelf, it leaves my skin smooth, fresh and glowy. I love this mask because you can give yourself a little scrub when you remove the mask revealing clear, bright skin. To note: it smells lovely, a little bit goes a long way and it is super affordable at £7.99.

Secondly is Lixir Vitamin C Paste, I use this everyday after cleansing, it only takes a minute and is an absolute dream. This mask protects against pollution, evens skin tone, revives dull skin and illuminates in a big way. You will notice improvements on day one but after a week bright, glowing skin will be the new normal. To note: you only need a tiny amount so the tube lasts for ages, it’s £32 and I need to mention again that it only takes a MINUTE.

Third on this list is Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment. This mask blasts pores and soothes imperfections leaving skin squeaky clean and clear. I have been using this for about nine months and it was love at first use, it goes on black and fades to grey as it pulls blackheads and blemishes to the surface. I use once a week when my skin is behaving and 2/3 times if it isn’t. To note: it smells like liquorice, a little goes a long way and costs £42 for a large jar.

Finally, the Kiehl’s Calendula and Aloe Soothing Hydration Masque is the absolute dream. In five minutes you can turn dehydrated, irritated skin into a plump, refreshed delight. In the summer it provides a cooling effect after a long sunny day and in the winter it provides respite from the harsher elements. I can’t tell you how much I love this nourishing mask, also it only takes five minutes which is ace. I like to use this product after the Glamglow Supermud Treatment to give skin a massive dose of hydration after a deep cleanse. To note: it smells like marmalade, is super lightweight and costs £44 which seems a lot but it lasts for the best part of a year and is entirely worth it.
